The IPAF Loading/Unloading (LOAD) course is aimed at anyone involved in the loading and unloading of mobile elevating platforms.

The IPAF Loading/Unloading (LOAD) course is delivered by an IPAF Instructor and takes one day to complete.
There is a multi-choice theory test as well as a practical assessment.
Everyone who passes the IPAF Loading/Unloading (LOAD) course will receive an IPAF certificate. If you hold a valid Powered Access Licence (PAL Card) for operating equipment, you can incorporate the Loading and Unloading (LOAD) category into it if required.
Once you have successfully completed the IPAF Loading/Unloading (LOAD) course, you can go on to get certified on other equipment and procedures. We offer a range of courses to help you become certified to use a wide range of machinery.
To take the IPAF Loading/Unloading (LOAD) course you should have a good level of physical fitness, eyesight and hearing. The course is not suitable for people with high blood pressure or heart disease, epilepsy, fear of heights or vertigo, difficulty with balance, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence, or psychiatric illness.
You must have completed a recognised Operator’s course and hold a valid Operator’s licence. Alternatively, your employer can provide written evidence of competency of plant operation.
You must also hold a current driving licence for the type of vehicle to be loaded. Alternatively, your employer can provide written evidence of your familiarisation with the vehicle.
You will need to be fluent in both written and spoken English.
