This half-day class will teach attendees how to use and inspect a safety harness whilst aboard a MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform). It is necessary for any employee who will use a boom-type MEWP.
This course will be taught using classroom learning as well as with practical exercises regarding safe harness and lanyard use on a MEWP device. You will be assessed based on your exercise participation and the results of a written test.
If you already have an IPAF PAL card, the ‘H’ (Harness) category will be added to it, the certification being valid for 5 years.
If you do not already hold an IPAF Operator’s License will receive a training certificate.
After achieving your IPAF Harness Use and Inspection certification, you may wish to attain your IPAF MEWPs for Managers certification, or earn other category certification for your IPAF Operator’s License / PAL card.
Course participants must be medically fit to work at height, and will be required to bring their own personal protection equipment, specifically a safety helmet and safety footwear. Those who take this course should have fluency in both written and spoken English.
