The IPAF Mobile Vertical/Mobile Boom Advanced (3a+3b) course is a one day advanced course. Trained operators working as steel erectors and safety net riggers should consider this qualification as they are required to have a PAL+ card.

The IPAF Mobile Vertical/Mobile Boom Advanced (3a+3b) course is an extensive course. It starts with a theory session which is followed by an interview and a theory test. There is then practical training and a practical assessment.
People who have successfully completed the IPAF Mobile Vertical/Mobile Boom Advanced (3a+3b) course will be issued with a new IPAF Smart PAL+ Card with the Mobile Vertical (3a+) and Mobile Boom (3b+) categories added. This replacement IPAF Smart PAL Card will retain the expiry date of your original PAL card.
Once you have been certified on the Mobile Vertical and Mobile Boom you can go on to get certified on other equipment. We offer a range of courses to help you become certified to use a wide range of other mobile elevating platforms.

To take the IPAF Mobile Vertical/Mobile Boom Advanced (3a+3b) course you must hold a valid PAL card in these categories and have sufficient experience in operating equipment.
