The CPCS A62 Crane Supervisor course provides candidates with the overall knowledge and expertise to efficiently undertake the roles and responsibility of a Crane Supervisor as defined by the appointed person. Candidates will be taught up-to-date Codes of Practice, legislation and regulations.
Candidates will be taught via a mixture of practical exercises and tutorials and discussion in the classroom over the course of four days.
Candidates should be supervisors and management with the responsibility of supervising safe systems of work for lifting operations.
Upon completion of the CPCS A62 course candidates will be awarded a CITV National Construction College certificate and, upon completion of the CPCS Technical Tests, a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card.
Applicants to this course should have the relevant experience of cranes to meet the British Standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes. When booking on the course applicants will be asked to fill out a self-profiling form to help determine their level of experience. They should also have successfully taken a CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) test within the last two years.
Candidates who complete this course may wish to take on the assessment for the Level 3 NVQ/SVQ, which in turn leads to a Blue Competent Operator Card.
