The CPCS A56 course, also known as Rear Tipping Dumper has been designed to provide candidates with foundation training and assessment in how to operate and maintain dump trucks with an articulated chassis. The object of the course is to provide candidates with the tools to know how to use dumpers effectively and safely.
This course is taught via classroom tutorials and practical exercises and is assessed with both theory and practical exams.
Any individual who wishes to become a rear tipping dumper operative has the right to apply to this course, whether they have prior experience or not. Those with experience and no training, or those looking for a refresher course are also able to apply to take part in this course.
There are two different endorsements, specific to certain types of machinery:
Upon a successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a CITB National Construction College certificate and a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card (once CPCS Technical Tests have been passed).
