The Slinger/Signaller Course has been created to provide both practical and theoretical training for those individuals who are a slinger/signaller. The duration of the course depends on the experience level of the applicant, with a four-day course being open to those with little to no experience, a three-day course for semi experienced and two days for experienced professionals. It is the perfect course to refresh your skills as an experienced operator.
The CPCS A40 Slinger/Signaller Course is taught with a mixture of theoretical discussion in the classroom and practical exercises. Assessment is made through both practical and theory exams at the end of the course.
The course is ideal for existing operators and also potential operators. It is available to those who have no formal instruction or training.

Once you have completed the course you will receive a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card (once completion of the CPCS technical Tests has been achieved) and also a CITB National Construction College Certificate.
Applicants to the slinger/signaller course must have passed a CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) exam within a two-year period directly before taking this course. You must also have a good understanding of both written and spoken English.
The course is an ideal starting point for those individuals looking for a route into the lifting industry. Upon completion you may be interested in further courses in crane supervision, crawler cranes and tower cranes.
