The course is designed to ensure a basic knowledge of health and safety for all levels of engineers in the construction industry.
The course promotes site safety through 4 modules. These modules are:
These modules cover a wide range of health and safety areas such as the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, risk assessment, fire safety, COSHH, site transport, manual handling and working in confined spaces.
This course is taught and assessed using presentations, exercises, videos and assessment. There is a multiple choice assessment at the end.
Successful delegates will be awarded the CCNSG Safety Passport Card, which is valid for 3 years.
This course is a requirement to apply for any of the ACE cards.
The course is suitable for all personnel who are working on, or hope to work on, an engineering construction project. This includes management, supervisors, operatives and consultants.
A working knowledge of English is required.
