The Gold CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor card is intended for highly experienced and well-trained scaffolding experts who routinely supervise others on the worksite, and have the advanced HS&E training they need to do this safely.
To gain a Gold (Supervisor) CISRS Card certification, you’ll need to have one of the following:
CSCS Supervisors Health, Safety and Environment certification, or
CCNSG (supervisor) Safety Passport, or
NEBOSH Construction certificate, or
SSSTS or SMSTS taken within 2 years of application:
Also, if this is your first CISRS Supervisory Card rather than a renewal, you will need your employer’s endorsement.
The Gold CISRS Card is valid for five years and can be renewed. On renewal delegates are required to attend a CISRS 2 Day Scaffolder Supervisor Refresher Course and have passed a Supervisory Level CITB HS&E Test (or hold a recognised exemption). Delegates must have previously passed the CISRS 5 Day Supervisor/Manager Training or hold a current SMSTS certificate and a current CISRS Scaffolder or Advanced card to attend the CISRS 2 Day Scaffolder Supervisor Refresher course.
This is considered the highest level certification for scaffolders, so there can be little advancement from this point.
